This is what happened 20 months ago, two men went to a dinner party and wanted to share their video clips of the event. They could not find a way how to do it. They tried sending clips by e-mail but mail server kept rejecting because their video clip file were too big.
They took proactive action of creating new idea from the problem they faced - they founded YouTube. They are Chad Hurley and Steve Chen.
YouTube website gained their popularity in November 2005 by letting users to upload, view and share their video clips. The site has almost 20 million visitors each month, according to Nielsen/NetRatings.
The BIG news was on 9 October 2006, Google, the web search giant purchased this company for US$1.65 Billion in stock. This is Google's biggest purchase to date.
